About The Position

This is for all work schedules, including Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary and Casual.

As part of the Joint Department of Medical Imaging, Mount Sinai Hospital’s Medical Imaging team collaborates with University Health Network and Women’s College Hospital to deliver integrated, high-quality diagnostic services. By pooling our resources and expertise, our department can offer a broader range of specialized services and advanced technologies. Our environment combines advanced imaging technology with a strong academic and research presence, offering opportunities to contribute to teaching, innovation, and clinical excellence. An international leader in medical imaging, we support a wide range of clinical areas, with a steady volume of inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department cases, including complex oncology and surgical follow-ups. Requirements

• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) within the specialty you wish to practice in
• Completion of a Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
• Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent (for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging)
• Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent (for Nuclear Medicine)
• Certificate of registration in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) (for Nuclear Medicine)
• Completion of an accredited degree/diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (for MRI)
• Cross sectional anatomy course (for MRI)
• Contrast injection course (for MRI)
• Completion of an accredited Ultrasonography degree/post diploma program (for Sonographer)
• Registered with Sonography Canada with CRGS designation (for Sonographer)

Nice To Haves

• Contrast injection course (preferred for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging)
• IV insertion course (preferred for X-Ray, CT, Angio & IR and Breast Imaging)
• Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and 2 course from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) (for Breast Imaging)
• Completion of over 15 hours of continuing education in Mammography within the past 3 years and a commitment to ongoing continuing education that meets CAR and hospital requirements (preferred for Breast Imaging)
• Previous Breast Imaging working experience, demonstrating knowledge and experience in digital radiography (preferred for Breast Imaging)
• Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification (preferred for Sonographer)

Responsibilities

• Applying technical expertise to deliver clear, reliable images that inform complex clinical decisions.
• Ensuring each image captured contributes directly to timely, effective patient care.
• Adjusting seamlessly to the demands of emergency cases, inpatient requests, and time-sensitive procedures without losing focus on patient safety.
• Completing every exam accurately and on schedule.
• Staying engaged with progress in emerging imaging technologies and evolving best practices.
• Contributing to teaching, innovation, and clinical excellence.
• Supporting a wide range of clinical areas with a steady volume of inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department cases, including complex oncology and surgical follow-ups.
