This role involves participating in the psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment of members, including psychiatric evaluations, medication supervision, health education, and assessment. The Medical Professional will also assist in nursing supervision and participate in the planning, development, and implementation of services. Specific duties for the assigned Behavioral Health Medical Professional to Las Amigas include conducting psychiatric evaluations on new intake members within a week of their arrival, following the psychiatric care of all members at Las Amigas while they are residents, coordinating members' care with their CODAC team, Primary Care Physician, and/or OB/GYN as needed, monitoring and refilling medications as needed for all Las Amigas members, and making regular weekly visits to Las Amigas to perform these duties.
