About The Position
This is a per diem Medical Practice LPN position in the Ob Gyn department, covering office locations in Rhinebeck and Kingston, NY. The role involves assisting clinicians in providing medical care to patients. The shifts are Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. The salary rate is $30.28 per hour.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Active LPN License based on state.
- BLS certification required within 30 days.
- Ability to travel between practices as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist clinician with the patient's medical exam.
- Obtains the patient's history and medical information.
- Provides direct patient care as directed by a Registered Nurse or clinician.
- Collects and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing.
- Administers medications, and vaccinations as directed by the clinician. Instructs the patient and family on how to perform clinician recommended preventive care, takes prescribed medication, prepares for tests, monitors treatment progress and notes symptom changes.
- Contacts the patient to provide requested follow-up, advises them of test results or relays clinicians instructions.
- Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

- Performs other duties as required.
