About The Position

We're seeking an experienced Medical Practice Administrator to lead day-to-day operations for a physician group practice. This executive role partners closely with the Practice President and physicians to ensure excellent patient service, strong team performance, and sound financial results-including revenue cycle integrity, budgeting, and reporting. The leadership scope includes direct supervision of the Clinic Manager and Business Office staff, with indirect oversight of the clinical team. The core focus areas are operations, finance/budgeting, revenue cycle oversight, HR/people leadership, and compliance. This role works closely with nephrologists/physicians and serves as a liaison to external agencies and vendors. The schedule is primarily weekdays, with occasional evenings/weekends as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration (required)
  • 7+ years of executive-level experience, including 5+ years in healthcare organization administration
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with physicians and lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other third-party payer guidelines
  • Solid understanding of accounting practices and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and practice management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and supporting physician contracting
  • Background strengthening billing workflows, revenue cycle controls, and operational performance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Set and execute operational goals, policies, procedures, and systems across clinic functions
  • Partner with physicians to develop and implement long-range plans and strategic objectives
  • Oversee daily operations with the Clinic Manager; remove operational barriers and solve administrative issues (facility, systems, workflows)
  • Own budgeting, financial monitoring, and analysis; provide accurate financial reporting and accounting oversight
  • Lead and support the Business Office to protect revenue cycle integrity and payer guideline adherence
  • Maintain regulatory and standards compliance; gather and report data for fiscal/statistical analysis
  • Provide full-scope HR leadership: compensation/benefits administration, job descriptions, personnel policies, payroll practices, and employee relations
  • Hire, train, coach, and supervise staff; participate in performance management and disciplinary actions when needed
  • Coordinate with medical staff to support quality patient care and consistent patient service
  • Serve as liaison between the practice and external agencies
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party vendors and support physician contracting/legal matters as assigned
  • Manage accounts payable and cost accounting statements; support board/physician meeting agendas and materials
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all matters
