The Medical Office Receptionist provides essential office support, including reception, scheduling, and patient assistance, to ensure a high-quality patient service and satisfaction experience. This role involves greeting patients and visitors, referring them to appropriate departments, notifying resources of arrivals, and ensuring demographic and eligibility information is accurate. The receptionist will also handle incoming calls, register new patients, schedule appointments, manage reschedules and cancellations, collect co-pays and balances, and respond to inquiries using organizational policies and procedures. Communication with other departments, team members, physician offices, and patients may be required for information exchange or problem resolution. Clerical duties, ordering supplies, operating standard office machines, and potentially assisting with medical records are also part of the role. Maintaining a neat and professional work area and performing special projects as assigned are expected, all while adhering to NCH standards, policies, and procedures.
