Responsibilities

  • Complete follow-ups assigned on the LNP spreadsheet (CT review, PET review, routine follow-ups, thoracic surgery follow-ups, etc.).
  • Schedule new patient referrals to the program (qualified and unqualified).
  • Assist with CT scheduling (if trained; otherwise escalated to program lead).
  • Support in-basket call management, including reviewing CT reports and triaging new patient appointment requests.
  • Obtain radiology records, including reports and images, via PowerShare.
  • Answer the LNP phone line during high-volume periods or when program staff are unavailable.
  • Scan and upload patient records into the EMR.
  • Answer high-volume inbound calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments across multiple providers, locations, and specialties while following established protocols.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referral requirements.
  • Triage calls appropriately based on urgency, clinical guidelines and patient needs.
  • Provide accurate information regarding office locations, hours, procedures, and preparation instructions.
  • Route messages to clinical teams, providers, or administrative staff as needed.
  • Support front desk and clinical teams by assisting with overflow tasks when cross-trained.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and organizational policies at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with scheduling protocols, clinical workflows, and system updates.
