Medical Office Assistant
About The Position
Working with an extensive client base, TEKsystems is searching for experienced Medical Assistant professionals in the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area! These individuals will be working in their top health department of their health center helping support a lot of patients every day. They will be doing pre auths, rooming patients, getting the charts prepped for Doctors and Nurses. Prior-authorization’s is a large part of day to day responsibility. They may be bringing in information for Prescription Refills, and they will be putting that information into the system for the Nurse and Doctor. They will be getting the patients through the first 30% of their visit. Candidate will be seeing around 30+ patients/day. Light procedures, possibly helping with instruments, drawing medication/prescriptions.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in Clinical or Medical role
- Diploma or GED required
- EMR experience preferred
Responsibilities
