Requirements

  • 2+ years of Medical Assistant or Clinical Support experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience working in a provider office, clinic, outpatient setting, or healthcare environment
  • EMR experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients and obtaining information to prepare them for their appointments
  • Reviewing and processing prior authorizations for medications, treatments, and procedures
  • Preparing charts and ensuring providers have accurate and complete patient information
  • Supporting prescription refill requests and documenting information within the EMR system
  • Assisting with patient flow and helping manage approximately 30+ patient visits per day
  • Coordinating communication between patients, providers, nurses, and administrative staff
  • Assisting with light clinical procedures and supporting providers during patient visits
  • Maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and protocols
