Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and collecting specimens.
  • Process billing and insurance claims, including coding and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment to ensure the medical office operates efficiently.
  • Support compliance with healthcare laws, policies, and safety protocols.
