We are currently searching for a Medical Office Assistant at our OrthoCarolina Peds and Hand locations. The Medical Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all patients are managed in an accurate and timely manner. The position will assist with rooming patients, assisting patients complete medical history, gathering pertinent information to be entered into EPIC by credentialed clinical staff, and preparing/cleaning rooms for examination. Additional responsibilities may be assigned upon requests from clinical staff members and management. May travel to other locations to assist as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all patients are managed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist with rooming patients.
  • Assisting patients complete medical history.
  • Gathering pertinent information to be entered into EPIC by credentialed clinical staff.
  • Preparing/cleaning rooms for examination.
  • May travel to other locations to assist as needed.
  • Coordinates with Clinical staff to ensure patient care is maintained with proper information.
  • Assist patients with completion of medical forms.
  • Escorts patients to rooms in a professional and appropriate manner (wheelchair, stretcher, ambulatory).
  • Follows all safety and OSHA measures for ensuring area is clean, safe, and readily available for patient care.
  • Cleans and stocks rooms/module in accordance with clinical cleaning schedule.
  • Assist with discharging patients and making appointments.
