About The Position

Requirements

Knowledge of pharmacology, medication side effects, risks, and benefits.
Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for medical illness.
Knowledge of how co-morbid conditions (medical and neurological conditions, substance use, intellectual limitations) can affect medical diagnosis and treatment.
Knowledge of the guidelines, rules, ethics and regulations regarding prescribing practices.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the Wyoming Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Performs complete histories and physical evaluations.
Provides ongoing medical treatment to patients.
Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for the medical care of patients.
Perform on-call clinical coverage as needed and directed by the hospital medical director.
Maintain all appropriate paperwork required for patient care in a timely manner.
Assist in follow-up planning for the discharge of patients.
Maintain an active role in updating treatment plans.
Participate in committees and perform administrative duties as directed by the medical director.
