About The Position

PRIDE Industries is seeking a Medical Material Specialist II (MMS II) to perform clerical and physical tasks for warehouse support service activities, specifically supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command’s (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical System (EXMED) mission. The role involves receiving, shipping, storing, selecting, disposing of, packing, unpacking, and inventorying general or specialized material and equipment. The MMS II will utilize DoD authorized systems like DMLSS or HIMS to manage the Table of Allowances (TOA), also known as Authorized Medical Allowance Lists (AMALs) or Authorized Dental Allowance Lists (ADALs), which are part of the EXMEDS.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or medical warehouse operations.
  • Ability to train employees in proper departmental practices and procedures, including safety and proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment.
  • Must be able to understand, read, and write in the English language.
  • Mathematical ability includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly proficient individual that can adhere to published standards and guidance directed in local Standard Operating Procedures, Navy guidelines, and Department of Defense publications.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy and ability to look up and enter information using a computer.
  • Minimal computer skills including – Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to learn specialized software related to departmental Operations.
  • Communication skills to provide procedural and factual information, and respond to questions from customers, employees, and others.
  • Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests; and escalate the more difficult matters appropriately.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.
  • Demonstrated organization, problem solving and common-sense skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a forklift, Scan Gun, and other material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be proficient in the use of the DMLSS, HIMS or other authorized database of record for routine processes.
  • Provide warehouse support pertaining to warehouse logistics, including receiving, shipping, storing (stowing), selecting (picking), supply turn-in (disposal), packing (kitting and stuffing), unpacking (downloading), and inventory of general or specialized material and equipment.
  • Train workers in the safe and proper use of products and equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Train and assist workers in performing duties.
  • Perform inventory and documentation of supply stock utilizing DMLSS or other military database of record.
  • Adjust stock levels as directed and support excess or unserviceable material disposal processes.
  • Review, stock, and re-supply medical logistics items, including removing and replacing all outdated or expired items from shelves or kitted EXMEDS.
  • Perform quality control on transaction records and file documents appropriately and promptly.
  • Research quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS, or other military database of record.
  • Review a wide variety of documents to ensure proper information inclusion, obtain missing information, and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies.
  • Perform receiving duties, including unloading and processing incoming shipments, checking documentation against containers, reporting over, short, or damaged items, opening containers, segregating material by type, generating labels, and routing material to staging areas or stow locations.
  • Perform inventory control work, supporting a broad range of duties required for a large production, sustainment, and distribution center, including counting items during inventories, location surveys, physical inventory, material handling, examining and identifying material, packing, operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and analyzing, evaluating, and revising command inventory.
  • Perform platform stowing of material by assigned EXMED platform in adjacent locations.
  • Perform Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C) for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS.
  • Perform administrative duties such as word processing, data receipt and completeness checks, correcting errors, transmitting electronic mail, storing/retrieving electronic documents, and entering data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and aesthetics.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
