About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Trial Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice defense litigation, with a proven track record of success in the courtroom. This role requires excellent legal skills, a deep understanding of medical concepts, and the ability to manage complex cases effectively. You will be responsible for defending healthcare providers and institutions against malpractice claims, working closely with medical experts, and navigating high-stakes legal proceedings.

Requirements

  • Admission to the New Jersey bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
  • Significant experience in medical malpractice defense.
  • First-chair trial experience strongly preferred (high-level second-chair ready to step up will be considered).
  • Demonstrated excellence with medical experts.
  • Experience with complex causation and damages analysis.
  • Proficiency in high-stakes motion practice.
  • Strong writing and courtroom skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
  • Organized, proactive, and business-minded.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior carrier-panel experience and guideline familiarity.
  • Experience in related areas such as nursing home defense, licensure/board matters, credentialing/peer review.
  • A medical-related background (nursing, EMT, biomedical science).
  • Comfort working across multiple medical specialties.
