Requirements
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional attitude with excellent bedside manner
- Basic computer proficiency
- Understanding of health/safety guidelines and healthcare regulations
- Team-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver exceptional service
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and follow established protocols
Nice To Haves
- ASCP or equivalent certification (Preferred)
- 1+ year preferred experience - Recent MLT grads encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and resolve specimen collection/processing issues
- Perform and report in-house testing (Hematology, Coag, Chemistry, Serology, UA, Microscopy, Blood Bank, Phlebotomy)
- Conduct complex analyses, troubleshoot deviations, and maintain precision
- Review QC results and take corrective actions
- Prepare blood components and perform compatibility testing
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analyzers and lab equipment
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments
- Provide accurate medical technology information
- Maintain workflow and support interdepartmental cooperation
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Report critical/panic values promptly
- Perform proficiency testing and support QA functions
- Complete clerical tasks associated with testing and reporting
- Participate in ongoing education and training
- Other duties as assigned
