About The Position

Dynacare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their Histology team in Brampton, Ontario. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical and scientific results in a timely manner using the latest technology. The contributions of this role are critical, as the results and reports delivered will significantly impact physician decisions and patient treatment, potentially saving lives. The position is permanent part-time, with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Training will occur Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for approximately two months. Requirements

Thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment
High level of interpersonal skills and ability to fit within a collaborative working environment
CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality laboratory services in a timely manner
Perform all aspects of Histology, including grossing specimens, embedding, microtomy, routine and special staining
Ensure sample identification is correct and specimen requirements meet established procedures
Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of documentation
Ensure quality control standards and perform routine maintenance on lab equipment
