Medical Laboratory Technician
About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for accurately processing, analyzing and reporting laboratory results in a timely manner with minimal supervision, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. The technician comprehends and follows procedural guidelines in performance of laboratory tests to include (1) quality control monitoring; (2) computer applications; (3) instrumentation troubleshooting; and (4) specimen collection and processing requirements. This position will work in a Generalist role within the Chemistry, Hematology & Blood Bank departments at either the Beaver or Sewickley campus location.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program or related field
- OR already functioning as a MLT within HVHS (Grandfathered) as of June 2004
