About The Position

Saint Luke's Wright Memorial Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Tech to join our team! Performs medical laboratory testing in a CLIA-certified laboratory. This position is responsible for the accuracy, timely reporting and integrity of laboratory results.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Performs medical laboratory testing in a CLIA-certified laboratory.
• Responsible for the accuracy, timely reporting and integrity of laboratory results.
• Has working knowledge of and performs testing in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple technical tasks with maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
• Reports laboratory results in the Hospital LIS/EMR, as ordered by providers.
• Reviews and approves quality control results to affirm validity of patient results.
• Maintains instrumentation and confirms acceptable performance.
• Uses education and experience to identify and resolve technical, instrumental and physiological issues that interfere with accurate testing.
• Works collaboratively with Manager and Medical Laboratory Scientists and recognizes scenarios that require assistance.
