Medical Laboratory Technician
About The Position
MN Urology is hiring a Full Time Medical Laboratory Technician for their Woodbury, MN office. This role involves performing all in-house laboratory testing, preparing samples for reference lab testing, and performing phlebotomy. Responsibilities include specimen processing, urinalysis, urine microscopy, chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, microbiology, and some manual testing. The technician will also be responsible for instrument maintenance, quality control, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with CLIA and Federal guidelines. This position requires working on a weekend rotation and a rotating holiday schedule.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an AMA approved technical program or an associate/bachelors degree in a biological science.
- Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) certification or Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Three to Five years of experience in laboratory techniques preferred but not necessary.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) products such as Orchard and UroChart preferred.
