About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team supporting active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (NAACLS or ABHES)
- Certification as an MLT (ASCP, NCA, or AMT) or state licensure
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (current)
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and prepare patient specimens with precision and care
- Perform laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, including: Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunohematology, Serology
- Accurately verify patient identification and ensure proper documentation
- Enter and manage lab orders within the Composite Health Care System
- Educate patients on proper specimen collection procedures
- Support overall lab operations and maintain quality standards
