This role involves performing and reporting on tests of all complexity levels, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages. The objective is to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and injuries. The position requires problem-solving skills, participation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control monitoring, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, specimen processing, and phlebotomy. For the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) role, additional responsibilities include interpreting and correlating test results with disease states and theoretical knowledge, exhibiting highly complex problem-solving skills, and potentially participating in research, development, education, and technical consultation.
