About The Position

This role involves overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and company standards. The position provides leadership, training, and support to laboratory staff across multiple clinic locations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment and testing issues, coordinating audits and inspections, monitoring quality control, and developing/implementing policies and procedures. The role also assists with new laboratory setups, maintains inventory, reviews records for accuracy and compliance, and collaborates with providers and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care. Travel to clinic locations is required for audits, training, and support. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting a safe, organized, and compliant work environment is essential.

Requirements

  • Medical Laboratory Technician certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in laboratory operations and management.
  • Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and testing issues.
  • Experience with quality control processes and documentation.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Ability to review and ensure accuracy of laboratory records and reports.
  • Willingness to travel to clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and company standards.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to laboratory staff across multiple clinic locations.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment, testing issues, and workflow concerns.
  • Coordinate laboratory audits, inspections, proficiency testing, and competency assessments.
  • Monitor quality control processes and ensure accurate laboratory documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Develop, update, and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Assist with new laboratory setup, equipment installation, and staff training for new clinic locations.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and coordinate ordering and distribution of supplies.
  • Review laboratory records, reports, and patient documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with providers, clinic leadership, and the Laboratory Director to maintain high-quality patient care and laboratory performance.
  • Respond to laboratory issues promptly and provide support to clinic teams as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Travel to clinic locations as needed to conduct audits, provide training, and support laboratory operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
