Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MT, ASCP)-FT-Laboratory
About The Position
Revere Health is seeking a motivated, outgoing Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform essential laboratory testing and support the daily activities of the medical laboratory. The role contributes to patient care and a positive patient experience by providing courteous, friendly service to patients and coworkers across multiple patients and offices. The successful candidate maintains a professional appearance and conduct, balances team and individual responsibilities, and communicates effectively with patients and coworkers. The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs high-, moderate-, and waived-complexity testing in clinical laboratory departments such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank. The role supports reliable patient diagnosis and care through quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting results and analyzers. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Schedules rotate Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 8 PM, with shared rotating Saturday coverage. The laboratory is closed Sundays and most holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, or another life science, as required by CLIA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and coworkers.
Nice To Haves
- ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent customer experience to patients and coworkers, both in and out of the laboratory.
- Support the daily activities of the laboratory.
- Perform high-, moderate-, and waived-complexity laboratory testing.
- Perform clinical laboratory testing in departments such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Ensure accurate results through quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review, and instrument maintenance.
- Troubleshoot results and analyzers.
