About The Position

Revere Health is seeking a motivated, outgoing Medical Laboratory Scientist to support the daily activities of its medical laboratory and contribute to patient care and a positive patient experience. The role requires courteous, friendly service to patients and coworkers, a professional appearance and conduct, and effective communication across a range of patients and coworkers. The position performs clinical laboratory testing at high, moderate, and waived complexity in departments including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank. The scientist supports accurate patient results through quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting results and analyzers. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role with rotating weekday schedules between 6:30 AM and 8 PM and shared rotating Saturday coverage. The laboratory is closed Sundays and most holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, or another life science, in accordance with CLIA regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent customer experience to patients and coworkers in and outside the laboratory.
• Support the daily activities of the medical laboratory.
• Perform high-, moderate-, and waived-complexity laboratory testing.
• Perform testing in clinical laboratory departments such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Ensure accurate results through quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review, and instrument maintenance.
• Troubleshoot results and analyzers.
• Maintain a professional image in appearance and conduct and contribute to a positive work environment.
