Medical Laboratory Scientist PT Days
About The Position
Seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a part-time position. This role involves 3 days of 8-hour shifts, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with every third weekend and holiday rotation (one winter and one summer holiday per year). The position is located at Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. In this role, you must have knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing, and have an understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. You will maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards. You will perform testing according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science from an accredited institution.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months.
- Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel.
Responsibilities
