About The Position

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, performing tests, reporting results, and providing clerical and patient care support services. The CLS serves in one or more laboratory sections with a high level of accuracy, precision, and timeliness, while ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Services are provided to patients of all age groups, from premature infants through older adults. Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, and cleaning and maintaining the work area, equipment, and instrumentation. The CLS provides service safely and professionally and follows established Laboratory and organizational policies and procedures. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science.
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License upon hire.
One year of experience in a clinical laboratory in the area of responsibility.
One year of experience meeting CLIA requirements for testing personnel performing moderate- to high-complexity testing.

Responsibilities
