About The Position

Texas Health Southwest and Texas Health Clearfork operate as one hospital across two locations, proudly serving the southwest Fort Worth area and its surrounding communities since 1987. Our 261-bed, full-service hospital provides convenient access to care for patients across Tarrant County. Our specialties include surgical services, orthopedics, rehabilitation, imaging, and adult critical care. We also offer a 24-hour emergency department. Additionally, we are certified as a Primary Heart Attack Center, Primary Stroke Center, Level III Trauma Center, Level III Maternal Center, Level III Neonatal Center, and a nationally accredited facility for Breast care, as well as Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. Texas Health Southwest has earned Magnet designation, a CMS 5-Star rating, recognition as a top hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and multiple STEMI/NSTEMI care awards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree for an MLS (or attained within 3 months of hire date)
  • Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program required.
  • MLS (ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist required within 6 months after hire
  • MT (ASCP) Medical Technologist required within 6 months after hire
  • Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required within 6 months after hire Or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology required within 6 months after hire

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred.
  • Individuals hired as a CLS II prior to January 3, 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS position with existing education.
  • 2 years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory preferred.
  • Previous experience in high-complexity Microbiology lab highly preferred
