About The Position

This position is located at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, OH, and operates on a Pool/PRN Evening Shift with variable hours. The role involves performing a wide range of tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include daily maintenance and quality control of equipment and reagents, troubleshooting instrument, reagent, and result-related issues, and accurately recording all test results. The position also requires effective client communication, participation in training new employees and students, and strict adherence to corporate integrity and safety policies. The role contributes to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories by performing other duties as required.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS).
• ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible) or comparable required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tests in an accurate and efficient manner following established policies and procedures.
• Perform and record daily and/or routine maintenance and quality control on all equipment or reagents used for testing.
• Recognize problems with instruments, reagents, test results and/or supplies and initiates problem solving procedures.
• Record all results in an accurate, complete and readable format, utilizes computer systems correctly to generate results and notifies clients appropriately of panic value results.
• Address client related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner, following department policies and procedures.
• Participate in training of new employees and students in appropriate technical areas.
• Comply with all corporate integrity and safety policies of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories by performing other duties as required.
