About The Position

USPI Foundation Surgical Hospital is seeking a motivated PRN Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist. The hospital has 25 beds, 8 operating rooms, and 3 emergency rooms, and performs outpatient orthopedic and spine surgical procedures. The role supports laboratory testing quality and operations, including quality-control activities, test-result review, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and supply and equipment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform correlation studies, linearity checks, and quality-control monitoring to assure compliance with CLIA, TJC, and CAP.
• Analyze and summarize test results for each testing process and submit them to the Lab Manager for review and approval.
• Perform maintenance on machine systems, track education and training needs, maintain machines, and manage reagent and supply inventory.
• Troubleshoot as needed.
• Recommend supplies and equipment to enhance the program.
