About The Position

This part-time position, covering multiple sites in Ohio, involves performing laboratory tests accurately and efficiently. The role requires daily maintenance and quality control of equipment and reagents, problem-solving for instruments and test results, and accurate recording of all data. The Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician will also address client inquiries, participate in training, and adhere to all company integrity and safety policies.

Requirements

Associates or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS).
ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible) or comparable required.

Responsibilities

Perform all tests in an accurate and efficient manner following established policies and procedures.
Perform and record daily and/or routine maintenance and quality control on all equipment or reagents used for testing.
Recognize problems with instruments, reagents, test results and/or supplies and initiates problem solving procedures.
Record all results in an accurate, complete and readable format, utilizes computer systems correctly to generate results and notifies clients appropriately of panic value results.
Address client related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner, following department policies and procedures.
Participate in training of new employees and students in appropriate technical areas.
Comply with all corporate integrity and safety policies of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet Clinical Laboratories by performing other duties as required.
