About The Position

This person will work under the supervision and direction of the Flow Cytometry supervisor. Duties include processing, staining and analyzing routine specimens. They will be expected to keep all instrumentation in good working order and identify and notify the supervisor of instrument malfunctions. They should be able to aid in instrument repair. They should be able to identify abnormal or discrepancy results. They will have limited participation in student teaching and assisting of other personnel rotating through the section. They will have limited administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology
  • Eligible for ASCP Certification or equivalent
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

  • Previous clinical laboratory experience, especially in flow cytometry.
