About The Position

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program, Or Bachelor's Degree Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
  • National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire Or National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire Or National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire Or National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists upon hire Or National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist upon hire
  • 1 year of Experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.
