About The Position

Perform diagnostic and technical laboratory tests utilizing specialized lab equipment and instrumentation used in complex clinical testing. Perform isolation of lymphocytes for PBL, SPL, LN, and maintain accurate inventory. Review and ensure reliability of tests based on quality control and assurance mechanisms, specimen integrity, known clinical history or delta checks, and take corrective action as necessary. Document and report test results accurately. Use established quality assurance protocols to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents and analytical procedures including assaying appropriate standards and controls, performing instrument function verifications, and recording control data. Perform phlebotomy procedures. Provide appropriate guidance and educational experience of clinical laboratory to students. Adhere to new and existing policies and procedures according to established protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
  • One (1) year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or related occupation.
  • A valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license or limited license appropriate for the area of responsibility.
