About The Position

Sidney Health Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist to join its Laboratory team. The position provides laboratory services across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology. The role supports patient safety and quality care through accurate, timely testing and effective communication with patients and healthcare staff. The employee may work independently and rotate shifts as needed. Requirements

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS).
Current Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) license, as applicable, or eligibility for licensure.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience, particularly as a generalist in a hospital setting.
ASCP or AMT certification as MLS or MLT.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology.
Perform quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and result verification while ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.
Provide laboratory services, including specimen collection, STAT testing, and emergency testing.
Work independently and rotate shifts as needed.
Provide courteous, professional, and timely laboratory services while supporting patient safety, quality care, and effective communication with patients and healthcare staff.
