About The Position
Fitzgibbon Hospital, a non-profit community hospital vital to the health and well-being of the communities it serves in Marshall, MO and surrounding areas, is seeking a self-driven, compassionate Medical Lab Technologist to join their Laboratory team. The Medical Technologist provides crucial information for diagnosis and treatment by performing a variety of laboratory tests. The laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has been accredited by the College of American Pathologists for over 20 years. The lab offers state-of-the-art, in-house services including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Pathology, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Coagulation. Fitzgibbon Hospital is a 60-bed acute care facility with advanced medical technology and an expert staff.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology
- Certification/Licensure: MT (ASCP), CLS (ASCP) or equivalent
- Knowledge and skills in General Chemistry
- Knowledge and skills in Hematology
- Knowledge and skills in Bacteriology
- Knowledge and skills in Clinical Microscopy
- Knowledge and skills in Immunology
Responsibilities
