About The Position

This position involves performing routine laboratory duties, including obtaining blood samples, conducting tests and procedures, managing quality control, operating computer systems for ordering and data retrieval, and performing routine instrument maintenance. The role also includes assisting with clerical tasks, ensuring laboratory safety and cleanliness, and potentially performing phlebotomy and specimen processing. The individual will participate in research, development, education, and technical consultation, while adhering to Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT): Graduate of an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician OR Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route.
Medical Technologist (MT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS): Graduate of a four-year degree program in an accredited school of clinical laboratory science, or equivalent discipline.
Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT) or National Credentialing Agency (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year of hire (for MLT).
Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), Medical Technologist (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (NCA) or equivalent is required within one year from the date of hire (for MT/CLS/MLS).

Responsibilities
