About The Position

A Medical Lab Technician performs laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols, exercising independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. The role is responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, and specimen procurement and processing. Other duties may be assigned. This position is onsite at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, with a third-shift schedule of seven consecutive 10-hour shifts followed by seven days off.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, including an internship at an affiliated laboratory from an accredited institution, required within 60 days of hire.
• MLT (ASCP) certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols.
• Exercise independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.
• Perform quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Procure and process specimens.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
