About The Position

The on-call Medical Lab Scientist will support the busy clinical lab with Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis as needed. Play a vital role in patient care through accurate testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance. You’ll perform routine lab analyses, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and support instrument operations and staff training.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited MLS.
• ASCP certification required.
• Must pass visual color discrimination testing.
• The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas in an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of clinical lab experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine lab tests and report results accurately and on time
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments; perform quality control procedures
• Document and communicate critical values and abnormal results
• Assist with instrument validation, troubleshooting, and staff training
• Support special projects and contribute to procedure development
