The Medical Lab Scientist will perform a variety of important functions including: Under general supervision, the Medical Lab Scientist performs all laboratory procedures as required according to established regulations, hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Provides and performs analytical testing and/or procedures that require independent judgment. Operates and maintains current instrumentation. Displays sufficient knowledge of the current laboratory and hospital computer systems.

Requirements

Bachelor degree, Medical Technology or Equivalent
ASCP Preferred
Blood Bank experience required
1-2 years hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

Performs all laboratory procedures as required according to established regulations, hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Provides and performs analytical testing and/or procedures that require independent judgment.
Operates and maintains current instrumentation.
Displays sufficient knowledge of the current laboratory and hospital computer systems.
