About The Position

The Medical Lab Scientist works in a laboratory setting at 4000 Cambridge St, Kansas City, Kansas. This is a 13-week contract with an ASAP start date listed as 11/1. The schedule is 8-hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday, from 1500 to 2330. The role requires weekend work in rotation, holidays based on unit needs, and floating as required. There is no on-call requirement. Orientation includes KU NEO and CST on Monday and Tuesday of the starting week, with 8 non-billable orientation hours. The facility is nicotine-free. The client may cancel up to two shifts per month without cost to the client or pay to the employee, with at least two hours’ notice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist.
• Hematology and strong Chemistry experience required.
• Active MLS or MLT certification through ASCP.
• Must work weekends in rotation and holidays based on unit needs.
• Must be willing to float as required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Beckman automation line, AU 5800, AU 680, DxH 900, DxH 800, DxI 800, Cobas e801, TOP 720, ABL 825 FLEX, Iris Velocity, and Iris iQ200.
• Beaker and AMS software experience.
