About The Position
Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to bring skilled technical support to our Transfusion Services team. This role involves mentoring and training in Blood Bank operations. The Medical Lab Scientist will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, resource, and mentor, promoting continuous learning and technical excellence across the team. Key responsibilities include conducting new hire trainings, CLIA competencies, and Blood Bank technical training.
Requirements
- We will accept MLS II-III for this Trainer role.
- Medical Lab Scientist II: MLS/BB certification required. 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- Medical Lab Scientist III: MLS/BB certification required. 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required. 2 years lead/charge experience required.
Nice To Haves
- SBB certification preferred for Medical Lab Scientist III.
