About The Position
Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to bring skilled technical support to our Transfusion Services team. This role involves mentoring and training in Blood Bank. The Medical Lab Scientist will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, resource, and mentor, promoting continuous learning and technical excellence across the team. Responsibilities include conducting New Hire Trainings, CLIA competencies, and Blood Bank Technical Training.
Requirements
- MLS II-III for this Trainer role
- Medical Lab Scientist II: MLS/BB certification required
- Medical Lab Scientist II: 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required
- Medical Lab Scientist III: MLS/BB certification required
- Medical Lab Scientist III: 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required
- Medical Lab Scientist III: 2 years lead/charge experience required
Nice To Haves
- Medical Lab Scientist III: SBB certification preferred
