About The Position
Vitalant is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist for its high-complexity testing reference laboratory in Tempe, Arizona. The role provides skilled technical support for reference-laboratory testing and hospital transfusion services in a highly regulated, mission-led, values-driven, customer-focused nonprofit organization. The position performs high-complexity immunohematology testing, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and crossmatching. The listed schedule is 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. The Medical Lab Scientist II level requires MLS/BB certification and two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. The stated pay range for this level is $35.89 to $37 per hour.
Requirements
- MLS/BB certification required for the Medical Lab Scientist II level.
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- A bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or a bachelor's degree in another science with ASCP/AHN MLS certification, is stated in the general qualifications.
- ASCP MLS certification required in the general qualifications.
- State licensure as required by regulations.
