About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for Medical Lab Technician/Medical Lab Technologist in 8211 Scicor Drive Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, 12-month contract opportunity. The shift is from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. As a Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Lab Technologist, responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist, or clinical laboratory scientist. The role involves performing routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality, and demonstrating the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving. The position also includes preparing, testing, and evaluating new reagents or controls, reporting accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care, performing and documenting preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies, assisting with specimen processing when needed, and maintaining a safe work environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
  • MLT if they have significant experience with 2 to 3 years of hospital experience.
  • Bachelors of Life Science- 1 yr of organic chemistry.
