About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join their Free Standing Emergency Department at the Baptist North location. This is a full-time day shift opportunity, working Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves performing clerical and technical duties related to the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results, communicating laboratory results, responding to specimen-related inquiries from healthcare professionals, collecting blood specimens, and utilizing computer functions.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience
- Specimen Processing Experience
- High School Diploma/GED Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree Preferred
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
- Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
- Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
- Utilizing computer functions.
