About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while conducting services as outlined in the service agreement at Tampa General Hospital. The shift for this position is Thursday - Sunday. Shift details are: Thursday 1:00PM to 9:30AM, Friday 9:00PM to 7:30AM, Saturday 7:00PM to 7:30AM, Sunday 7PM to 5:30AM. The role involves moving and maneuvering medical products, managing inventory, delivery, retrieval, and coordination of equipment. It also includes proper utilization and maintenance of facilities and products, assisting with tracking assets due for preventative maintenance, and completing day-to-day assigned activities. The specialist will identify and communicate equipment problems, demonstrate proactive safety awareness and compliance, complete safety and compliance learning modules, and sustain a clean and safe work environment. The role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds and communicate effectively with company and customer personnel. Effective time management is crucial to meet customer satisfaction. The role also requires the ability to work Saturday and Sunday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet preferred.
Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
Must be reliable and organized.
Ability to work within a team environment with an enthusiastic and positive work attitude.
Ability to comprehend company and customer guidelines for infection control.
Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a safe, ergonomic, and ethical manner.
Ability to follow company and site requirements on personal protective equipment (i.e. gloves, safety shoes, glasses, etc.)
Ability to perform work duties with limited supervision.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel 6-8 hours per shift, push/pull and lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Ability to move and maneuver medical products within healthcare facilities unassisted using appropriate processes and safety techniques.
Responsible for inventory, delivery, retrieval, and coordination of equipment.
Proper utilization and maintenance of facilities and product being managed.
Assist with tracking and pulling assets due for preventative maintenance.
Responsible for the completion of day-to-day activities assigned.
Identify and communicate equipment problems to management or Asset Coordinator.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety awareness and compliance.
Successfully complete all required safety and compliance learning modules on a timely basis.
Sustain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities.
Identify safety concerns and correct as necessary.
Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes, including proper safety and ergonomic procedures.
Effective and professional communication with company and customer management/personnel.
Effective time management decisions to meet customer satisfaction issues.
Ability to work Saturday and Sunday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM.
