About The Position

The Medical Integration Associate – Cardiac Rehabilitation position is a part-time role (3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) with shifts during the day, requiring 20-25 hours per week. This role operates within a medically supervised cardiac rehabilitation setting at the Thibodaux Regional Fitness Center, working closely with healthcare professionals and patients managing cardiovascular conditions. The position supports Thibodaux Regional’s commitment to improving community health and wellness by providing safe, effective, and compassionate cardiac rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor
• Ability to work in a clinical, team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Telemetry experience preferred but not required as training is provided
• Interest in health, fitness, or medical field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor participants during exercise, including heart rate and blood pressure
• Support staff with basic telemetry monitoring (training provided)
• Assist with supervision of cardiac rehabilitation exercise sessions
• Ensure equipment is set up, clean, and functioning properly
• Provide encouragement and guidance to patients throughout their exercise programs
• Maintain accurate documentation as directed by supervising staff
• Uphold safety protocols and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients in a professional and compassionate manner
• Other duties as assigned
