About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a Medical Office Administrator with experience in Healthcare Insurance Authorization and Medical Billing for their Client, a Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab for their office located in Manhattan, NY. This is a Temp-to-Hire role. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clerical support, answering phone calls, and obtaining accurate insurance information, verification, and pre-authorization. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of healthcare billing/collections experience. Responsibilities include verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits, collecting co-pays, and assisting with billing questions. You will also greet and welcome patients, check them in, and schedule/manage appointments for multiple providers, rescheduling or canceling appointments as needed. The role involves collecting patient information, insurance details, and medical history, answering phone calls promptly and professionally, and relaying messages and following up on patient calls. You will maintain and update patient records in EHR or paper files, prepare and send appointment reminders and follow-up letters, manage incoming and outgoing medical records, and order office supplies as needed. Requirements

  • Experience in Healthcare Insurance Authorization
  • Experience in Medical Billing
  • At least 3 years of healthcare billing/collections experience
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish required
