Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience which includes performing ultrasound procedures; providing ultrasound guidance for diagnostic procedures; and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.
  • Utilize diagnostic two-dimensional imaging, spectral Doppler analysis, color and power Doppler, angio techniques, and real-time ultrasound imaging across multiple organ systems.
  • Analyze sonographic findings to distinguish between normal and pathological conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive training, instruction, and technical oversight to military personnel, sonographers, students, radiology residents, emergency room residents, and physician assistants.
  • Perform routine and periodic quality control testing, including phantom imaging and system performance evaluations.
