About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to support Veterans receiving care through the VA Portland Health Care System. This position is located in an on-site VA healthcare setting with potential locations in Portland, Vancouver, and Salem. The role may involve 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends/holidays, and on-call/callback coverage. This is a meaningful opportunity to support our nation's Veterans.
Requirements
- Current ARDMS registration – Abdomen/Small Parts
- At least 2 additional ultrasound certifications such as RVT, OB/GYN, or Musculoskeletal
- 3 years of current ultrasound experience
- Current BCLS certification
- Recent hospital ultrasound experience within the last 6 months
- Experience supporting inpatient, ED, and ICU settings
- Skilled in vascular studies, Doppler, biopsies, and complex ultrasound procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasounds
- Perform vascular and portable ultrasound studies
- Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and biopsies
- Evaluate image quality and adjust studies as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and PACS documentation
