About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to support Veterans receiving care through the VA Portland Health Care System. This is an on-site VA healthcare setting with opportunities in Portland, Vancouver, and Salem locations. The role involves performing routine and complex diagnostic ultrasounds, vascular and portable ultrasound studies, assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures and biopsies, evaluating image quality, and maintaining accurate patient records and PACS documentation. The position requires on-call and callback coverage, with rotating weekends/holidays potentially required. This is a meaningful work supporting our nation’s Veterans.
Requirements
- Current ARDMS registration – Abdomen/Small Parts
- At least 2 additional ultrasound certifications such as RVT, OB/GYN, or Musculoskeletal
- 3 years of current ultrasound experience
- Current BCLS certification
- Recent hospital ultrasound experience within the last 6 months
- Experience supporting inpatient, ED, and ICU settings
- Skilled in vascular studies, Doppler, biopsies, and complex ultrasound procedures
